Teacher’s Workshop
An Orientation Workshop for teachers on ‘Phonetics’ and classroom management was conducted in the school campus by Ms.Anita Bahadur, the resource person. She spoke about the usage and pronounciation of letters, words and the need of English in the school. She also spoke about the classroom management and the ways to overcome the challenges faced by teachers day to day in class.

Teej Celebration
The school celebrated ‘Teej festival’ with full zeal on August 10, 2015. Girls of various classes dressed up in the traditional colourful suits, phulkari, Parandas, Saggiphul, tikka danced on the popular folk songs and also performed giddha to express their joy. Competition among classes IX, X Vs XI, XII was conducted. The chairperson Ms.Anupinder Sandhu, congratulated the students and advised them to stay connected to the rich Punjabi culture. Principal Ms. Anjali Singh congratulated the students for their wonderful performances.

Nukkad Natak – Akhir Kadon Tak
The team of Red Arts Punjab performed a Nukkad Natak on the burning issue of the era- Drug Addiction, under the title ‘Akhir Kadon Tak’ to make the students aware of the consequences of this deadly habit. Students took keen interest and pledged to stay away from drug addiction. Principal Ms.Anjali Singh addressed the students advising them to lead a healthy life with positive approach.

All India Essay Writing Event 2014
All India Essay Writing Event 2014 was organized by Shri Ram Chandra Mission and United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan. [UNIC] 14 students of JPS participated in it. Two students Vipanpreet Kaur and Gurjant Singh of Class XI were awarded with certificate.

Participated in the Religious Event
The students of VIII Std participated in the religious event held at Sri Dukhniwaran Sahib Patiala on May 02, 2015. Children recited ‘Japji Sahib’ Path from 9 a.m to 12 p.m on the 452th Birthday of Guru Arjun Dev Ji.

INTER HOUSE VOLLEYBALL MATCH
Very Competitive and spirited Inter-house Volleyball Matches were successfully held in school April, 30th 2015. Satluj House was the winning team and Runners up title went to Ravi House.

Baisakhi Celebrations

On 13th April on activity of Baisakhi Celebration was conducted by IX B. Speech in English and Punjabi was delivered by Alwinder singh IX A and Pradeep Kaur IX B. The students of class IX Class organized the Whole event. They depicted the harvest season and Punjabi Culture in the reception area. All the articles were made by the students with Clay and other decorative items. Phulkaris, Punjabi traditional utensils were displayed. A model of baisakhi fair was also organized. The students arranged some stalls which included toys, bangles, jewellery and food. The students of junior wing went to the fields along with their class incharges. They recited poems there and celebrated Baisakhi in fields. Wheat plant, grains and its products were diseased by beaches and shown to students. The Principal Ms. Anjali Singh also engaged herself with the tiny tots and enjoyed this event. The students of Grade I & Grade II made beautiful cards in card making Activity. The Chairperson Mrs. Anupinder Kaur Sandhu and The Registrar Mr. Batra visited the school event area and appreciated the students work.

Workshop Conducted
The teachers of Grade I and Grade II attended the workshop on April 13, 2015 conducted by resource person Mr. Amandeep Singh from Next education on Maths. It was a very fruitful workshop where teaches learnt various techniques to teach Maths effectively in their classes.
